Kalabhavan Mani Passed Away

Kochi : Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away at a hospital with liver related disease here on Sunday, aged 45. Mani, began his career in Malayalam film industry, and later in the Tamil and Telugu industry. He won a special jury mention at the National Film Awards and Kerala State Film Awards in 1999 for Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum.

Mani stunned us with his villainy act in Gemini and Chotta Mumbai. He melted our hearts in Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum and Karumadikuttan. He made us laugh in numerous movies. He was one of those actors who had that immense gift to make us laugh in one moment and then bring us to tears in the next. He shared great chemistry with almost every hero to whom he played supporting role with. During one time, there would have been none among us who would not have hummed one or more of his folk songs.

Rest in Peace Kalabhavan Mani. Its almost tough for anyone not to like you in one way or another and hence this loss is definitely painful. Your trademark laugh that always brought a smile on us
