Kunchako Boban known for his wits on and off the screen had a bit to share about his new Mollywood film ‘Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti’. In the film directed by debutant Rishi Shiva Kumar Kunchako is pairing up with actress Shamili. When her sister Shalini, made her debut in a lead role alongside Kunchako Boban nineteen years ago, Shamili was just a kid and his fear was whether she would call him “uncle” while they were in set. This he thought would make acting romantic scenes very hard. But his fears were proven futile as she too addressed him as “chackochan”, just like her sister used to.
Shamili is more familiar to mallus as a child artist from the hit movies ‘Malooty’, ‘Pookalam Varavayi’ and ‘Harikrishnans’. Her role in the tamil movie ‘Anjali’ had won her the National Film Award for the Best Child Artist. Though she had acted in the tamil movie ‘Oy!’ in 2009 in a lead role she had been on a hiatus since. Her return to screen alongside Kunchako would make most reminisce about the star pair that was born in the movie ‘Aniyathipravu’.
It is a weird coincidence that both the sisters who started off as child actors get to make their debut in lead role alongside the same actor. Though nineteen years apart Kunchako hasn’t lost his youth or romance on screen. Though she would have to compete with her sister’s reputation from her movie ‘Aniyathipravu’, she need not worry much because she will be in company of the one half from the dynamic duo that set the screens ablaze.
