After a gap Actress Meera Jasmine is back into films through ‘Pathu Kalpanakal’ directed by the film editor Don Max. The movie is said to be a heroine-centric crime thriller starred by Murali Gopi, Anoop Menon, Anumol and Kaniha. Meera will be coming in the role of a police officer.
“Actresses are just a showpiece in Malayalam Industry. I am not interested in being a lifeless character. This is the reason for my break from the industry” says the actress whose last released film was ‘Ithinumappuram’ in 2015.
“I have a world of my own filled with happiness. I don’t allow anyone to enter that world. This is the reason why gossips doesn’t bother me. Married Actresses are forced to leave the industry due to the lack of support from their family. I will be appearing only in films which gives equal importance to women” added Meera Jasmine.
‘ Pathu Kalpanakal ’ will be Meera’s second film as a police officer. Previously she came in the role of an IPS Officer through tamil movie ‘ Pen Singam ’ which was written by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi but the film became a box office failure.
