‘Happy Wedding’ the directorial debut of Omar Lulu completes 72 days of successful run in theaters. The film which released on May 20th has collected around 13 Crores and is still continuing house shows around the World. The film, starring Sharafudeen, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson and Justin John in the lead roles, is jointly produced by Eros International and Nazir Ali under his banner Ozone Productions.
The film was a slow starter but became a huge blockbuster later and was declared as a ‘surprise hit of the year’. The film gained popularity because of its fun elements and impressive performances by the lead actors. Now a news has come up that the film is going to be remade into Tamil.
This was revealed by the Director Omar in an interview given to an online media. As per the report Udhayanidhi Stalin’s production house, Red Giant Movies has approached the director for the remake rights of the story. Nothing has been officially confirmed. The director also says that he wishes to direct the Tamil version himself.
Happy Wedding’s success has given the director all confidence and he is in the preparation of his next film.
