Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who won hearts through her performance in ‘Neerja’, was asked about biopics on female athletes during the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Indian Merchant’s Chamber. Nation is celebrating the success of Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu, and Sonam was asked whether a biopic should be made on Sakshi or Sindhu, and she gave an unexpected reply.
“I have already done a biopic on Neerja Bhanot. I will do whatever good comes my way. I think before making a biopic on Sindhu or Sakshi Malik, there should be one on P.T. Usha. It will be an interesting one,” said the actress.
P.T. Usha, nicknamed Payyoli Express, is one of the greatest athletes of India and is called the queen of Indian track and field.
“We always celebrated success of athletes like Milkha Singh. Many runners might have for inspired by his biopic. There are so many talents in our country upon who biopics can be made” added the actress whose favourite sports are basketball and handball.
Sonam Kapoor will be playing one of the leads in the upcoming movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ directed by her sister Rhea Kapoor.
