A great news for Mega Star Mammotty fans, the actor is teaming up again with the popular Kollywood director Narain Lingswamy for a tamil movie. This will be their second association, as N. Linguswamy’s debut movie Aanandham was with Mammootty. Aanandham emerged as one of the most successful Tamil films of 2001 and established the director in the industry.
Nothing much has been revealed about the new project. According to reports Mammootty had recently heard the screenplay and has agreed to do the movie and will take off from the last month of this year after Mammootty finished his two Malayalam movies directed by Haneef Adeni and Shyam Dhar. According to the current trend, the chances are that the film will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam.
N. Linguswamy’s other films are Run (2002), Sandakozhi (2005), Paiyaa (2010) and Vettai (2012). He was also planning to do Sandakozhi-2 with Vishal.
Seems like the Mega Star is more concentrating on his Tamil ventures, he is currently in the shooting for a Tamil movie Peranbu directed by the National award winner, Ram. There are reports that he will do another Tamil movie with Seenu Ramasamy as well next year.
The next release of Mammootty would be Thoppil Joppan, directed by Johny Antony. The film is hitting the theatres on October 7th this year.
