Piracy is the biggest enemy of any Industry, especially for the film industry. Over all these years many steps have been tried and failed to prevent piracy in films. 24AM Studios under producer RD Raja was always on the news for bringing out innovative steps regarding their debut film ‘Remo’ starring Sivakarthikeyan. Latest in their strategy list is a plan to prevent the leak of their film before it’s release in India.
Usually the overseas premiere shows of a film happen a night before it’s release in India. This is believed to be the main source from where pirated prints are captured by culprits and released online on the day of theatrical release in India. So, 24AM studios has come up with a new policy that all their productions will release overseas only after its release in Tamil Nadu on October 7th i.e after the first show starts in Tamil Nadu.
“Various methods are practiced to curtail piracy by the stalwarts of the industry and we are contemplating and putting into practice this idea of a simultaneous release to bring the system back to normalcy. After all this is our trade of life, and we shall be brave to bring in systems which will benefit the industry on a longer run” says the producer, R D Raja.
Hope this step will help in solving the piracy issue to some extent. 24AM Studios already have another Sivakarthikeyan movie directed by Ponram, a tamil film with Nivin Pauly directed by Prabhu Radhakrishan and a project directed by Ravikumar in their hands.
Remo is a romantic-comedy movie, directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan, with Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh in the lead. Siva will appear in two different roles in the movie which includes a female avatar too. The film is set to release in theaters on October 7, 2016. Sathish Krishnan, KV Ravikumar, Anson Paul and many others are in the cast along with a guest appearance by Sri Divya. Music is composed by Anirudh. PC Sreeram handles the cinematography and Ruben the editing.
