Malayalam Actor Jayasurya is known for his commitment in social issues of common man. Earlier in 2013, he was in the news for filling out the potholes on roads by taking help from the local people. After three of years of that controversy, the actor has come up with an open video request to the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan. The actor posted the video in his official Facebook page on August 9th and went viral in the social platform.
In the video, Jayasurya talks about an incident he witnessed on the same day morning and requests the CM to take some actions on the pathetic conditions of the state’s roads.
Now the CM himself has come up with reply to the problem raised by the actor. He replied through a Facebook post from his official page.
The CM says that the road development is necessary and really the roads are in a pitiable state. This is because of the negligence by the authorities to finish the work complying to the criterias. This system has to be repaired first. LDF has clearly stated their views on the matter even before we came into power. Also the issue is stated in the first budget. It is made sure that Public works department and other local institutions take actions against this issue.
He also appreciated Jayasurya for finding time from his busy schedule to indulge in such social issues. All support will be given by the local institutions and people, if actors and producers like him involve in social issues, added the CM. He also wished all the best for Jayasurya’s upcoming films.
Meanwhile, on the acting career front, Jayasurya is awaiting the release of ‘Pretham’ and ‘Inspector Dawood Ibrahim’ scheduled on August 12th.
