Vismayam’, Malayalam version of Telugu Film ‘Manamantha’, starring the complete actor Mohanlal is continuing it’s successful run in the theatres impressing the audience and critics alike. The movie directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti is produced by Sai Korrapati. The latest updates says that the film’s satellite right has been bagged by Asianet Communications, owned by Star Group.

Star Group has bagged the satellite rights of both version for a whooping 6.8 crores. The Telugu version will be aired on Maa TV and the Malayalam version on Asianet.

The Tamil version of the movie is open for sale, but the Star Group has no interest in the rights of the Tamil version, ‘Namadhu‘.

The film grossed 68 lakhs on day one, not a great figure for a Mohanlal movie but when we consider the fact that it is a dubbed movie, the collection is decent enough. The multiplexes from Ernakulam contributed near 3.5 Lakhs from only 18 shows on day one. Meanwhile the Telugu version of the movie is also doing extremely well in the theatres.

The film, which is the first release of Mohanlal in 2016, has won the hearts of audience as well as received critical acclamation too. It is one of the few dubbed movies which received excellent reports in Kerala.

The film has Gautami in the female lead. It is a journey of four people at different phases in their life: childhood, youth, and adulthood. The movie is a family entertainer with some thrilling suspense. Another specialty of the film is that Mohanlal and Gautami are teaming after a gap of 18 years since ‘Iruvar’ of Maniratnam. Malayalam Actress Urvashi is also doing an important role in the film produced by Sai Korrapatti Productions under the banner Varahi Chalana Chitram.
