Janatha Garage Crosses 100 Crore In 4 Days

Complete Actor Mohanlal-Jr.NTR starrer movie Janatha Garage is doing great in the box-office and has already collected above 100 crores Worldwide. The movie released on 2nd September crossed the 100 crore mark in just 4 days. This is both the actors first movie to cross 100 crore.

The film written and directed by Koratala Siva is trailing behind Baahubali in terms of records, being the second fastest film to cross 100 crore in box office. The huge hype created before the release helped the film to get an excellent first day collection as predicted by the trade experts. It also fetched a record price from its theatrical rights.

“The film, in its four-day weekend, managed to collect a share of Rs 50 crore. Despite mixed response from the critics and the rains in Hyderabad, the film performed exceptionally well at the box office,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

The movie made on a budget of Rs 50 crore earned a huge share of over Rs 50 crore and returned 60 percent of the investments. According reports it has broken the opening weekend collection records of Telugu films like ’Srimanthudu’, ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Sarrainodu’.

Janatha Garage was released on over 2000 screens across the globe including 1000 in AP and Telangana, around 550 screens in other parts of India and 400 screens in the international markets. The movie was produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and C. V. Mohan under their banner Mythri Movie Makers, and distributed by Eros International.
