We all heard about the debut of Pranav Mohanlal through Jeethu Joseph’s movie, but the director says that he didn’t choose Pranav as the lead in his movie, just because he is Mohanlal’s son.
“Pranav came into my mind first, when I thought about a hero for the story. I told him the story and he liked it. Since he had worked with me for a project earlier, I think he will be the best for the role” Jeethu Joseph told in a media interview.
Director strongly believes that Pranav will be able to do it with ease. Even though the story for the film is complete, the scripting and screenplay has not yet started. This film will be first film to be produced by Aashirvad Cinemas with an actor other than Mohanlal.
The 26 year won the 2002 Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for the role in Punarjani directed by Major Ravi. He also acted in Thampy Kannanthanam’s ‘Onnaman’ in 2002 and appeared in guest roles in his father’s movies like Onnaman and Sagar Alias Jacky.
Mohanlal did earlier make a statement that Pranav is all free to make his own decision and can choose whatever he wants to do in his life. He also said that Pranav has never expressed a wish to act in cinema. Pranav has worked as an assistant director of Jeethu Joseph in films like Papanasam and Life Of Josutty.
Pranav’s entry as a hero is much awaited in Mollywood as sons of all superstars has already made their mark in the industry. Mammootty’s son Dulquer is one of the favourites of Malayalees, while Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul Suresh has marked his debut and Jayaram’s son Kalidas is making his Malayalam debut through a movie directed by Abrid Shine.
