Director General of ATB Corporation Boris Markov noted that a 20-day supply of goods was formed in the stores of his network. So he commented on the availability of goods in Ukraine under quarantine.
In Ukraine, there are enough goods to meet the demand of citizens in quarantine. This was announced on March 26 on the air of the 1 + 1 television channel by Boris Markov, Director General of ATB Corporation.
“Today, in terms of the quantity of goods, a country can sleep peacefully both in terms of the number of domestic goods and imported goods,” he said.
According to the CEO of ATB, a 20-day supply of goods has been formed in the stores of his network.
“Warehouses are packed to capacity,” said Markov.
Commenting on the rise in price in the country, he noted that “this is a common trend in the market, and ATB just does not grow more and faster than others.”
“The ATB assortment is 3.5–4 thousand items, depending on the size of the store. A significant increase in the price of goods in our network occurred by about 50–100 positions, no more. The remaining positions either did not go up at all, or went up in direct correlation to devaluation dollar, which is associated with the currency component of the cost of this product, “explained Markov.
He expressed gratitude to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko, who responded to the rise in price of goods in stores.
Markov stressed that suppliers increased prices.
On March 25, Gerashchenko said that complained to the AMCU about the rise in price of products nutrition in a coronavirus epidemic. He expressed the opinion that there is a conspiracy between market participants.
On March 26, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine opened a case on the fact of a rise in price of products in Kiev under quarantine.
