The money that Ukraine can receive in 2020 from the International Monetary Fund is provided at 2-3%, said the people’s deputy from the Servant of the People, the head of the Rada’s committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Daniil Getmantsev.
In 2020, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) may provide Ukraine with a loan of $ 4 billion. This was announced on March 31 by Radio NV, MP from the Servant of the People, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev.
“We have already received an official letter from the IMF, an official statement that … if the conditions are met, then the funds will go to Ukraine, and these funds will go to the state budget. According to our estimates, this should be about $ 4 billion loan … we expect $ 4 billion this year. That is, the total amount is more than $ 8 billion, “the people’s deputy noted.
According to him, IMF funds will be transferred to the stabilization fund of the state budget.
Getmantsev noted that the loan is provided to Ukraine at 2-3%.
The IMF insisted on opening a land market and prohibiting the return of nationalized banks to former owners (this document, in particular, would make it impossible for PrivatBank to return to businessman Igor Kolomoisky). Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva noted that the adoption of these documents “will allow us to move forward quickly by finalizing the parameters of a new agreement with wider access than previously thought.” At an extraordinary meeting, the Verkhovna Rada adopted them.
According to President Vladimir Zelensky, within two weeks after the adoption of these laws, Ukraine may receive from the IMF $ 1.5–2 billion.
