It was previously reported that the government of Abkhazia introduced quarantine measures because of the coronavirus pandemic. There are no laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia.
From March 27 to April 7, public catering facilities, regardless of their form of ownership, central and clothing markets are suspended in the republic. In addition, the movement of all public transport will be prohibited – intracity, suburban, intercity, with the exception of taxis.
Earlier it was reported that from March 25 to April 7, holding mass and corporate events, the entry into the republic of foreign citizens and stateless persons for sightseeing and tourist purposes is prohibited. Fitness centers, gyms, physiotherapy salons and Duty Free shops on the Abkhaz-Russian border have suspended their work.
