“The government has approved emergency regulations to limit activity in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus in Israel,” the prime minister’s office and the ministry of health said in a joint statement.
According to new guidelines, Israelis can leave their homes to buy food, medicine, receive medical assistance, for blood donation, to work, if it complies with the previously introduced rules, in court, the Knesset, for prayer in the open and accompanying a minor child from one parent to another.
In other cases, it is allowed to leave the house at a distance of up to 100 meters and for a short time. Public transport will be reduced to 25%.
New restrictive measures enter into force on Wednesday at 17.00 (18.00 Moscow time) and will be valid for seven days.
