At the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Italy, doctors hospitalized even those who had a mild illness, this was an erroneous decision of the authorities, said Nikolai Malyshev, a leading researcher at the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Honorary Academician N.F. Gamalei.
“It turned out that at first they scored all the bunks with people in a light form,” he said on the air of the NSN.
According to the expert, the decision of the Moscow authorities that patients with a mild form of coronavirus can be treated at home will not allow repeating the sad experience of Italy, where patients do not have enough space in medical institutions.
As Rambler reported, on March 24, Moscow authorities allowed patients with a mild form of coronavirus to be treated at home.
The corresponding order is published on the website of the capital’s Department of Health. Compulsory hospitalization is required for people over 65 years old, pregnant women and people with chronic diseases.
