Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will launch the new Redmi Note 9 5G Series in China on November 26th. Lei Jun, CEO and Founder of Xiaomi, also hinted at pricing for the phones.
According to Lei Jun on the Weibo page, the Redmi Note 9 5G Series will start at RMB 1,000 (around MYR 200,000). It will not be more expensive than the previous Redmi Note Series phones, so it will be better in terms of performance rather than price.
However, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 Series, which starts at 1,000 yuan, could also support 4G LTE instead of 5G networks. According to recent reports, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, which will feature a 108MP primary camera, will be priced at around RMB 1,500 (around MYR 300,000).
The Redmi Note 9 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset; It comes with a 48MP camera setup and a 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W Fast Charging. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset. It comes with a 108MP camera setup and a 4820mAh battery with 33W Fast Charging.
