All Ukrainians can compensate for part of utility bills in connection with quarantine, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal. The question is being studied.
On March 18, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal instructed the ministries to study the issue of compensation to citizens for part of utility bills. This was reported by the correspondent of the publication “GORDON”.
“By our decree, we introduced quarantine, we urge people to be at home, the state should take on partial compensation for utilities, which will increase due to the constant stay of people in self-isolation of the house,” the head of government said.
Shmygal noted that the percentage of compensation, the amount of funds and the categories of citizens who will receive it should be calculated (the prime minister noted that this could affect everyone).
Since March 12, in Ukraine, due to the spread of coronavirus infection, mass events have been banned and educational institutions have been closed. In addition, on the night of March 16, Ukraine completely banned foreign citizens from entering the country, from March 17 suspended air traffic with other countries, and domestic passenger traffic should cease from March 18 in the country. Many cities also closed shopping centers, shops (except grocery and drug stores), restaurants, cafes and bars, gyms, beauty salons and night clubs. Restrictive measures will last three weeks – until April 3.
