News of Apple’s Foldable has been circulating since early 2019. Now, in late 2020, we can see a significant shift. This will be a joy for Apple fans.
According to the latest news, the US company has partnered with companies such as Hon Hai and Shin Nikko as supply chains for the foldable iPhone. Tests are expected to use either OLED or Micro LED for the display panel.
The assembly method will also be significantly affected depending on the display panel selected for the device. However, the company’s foldable iPhone is expected to hit the market for at least another two years. I don’t think this is good news for Apple fans.
Earlier reports suggested that Apple had placed a large order to supply Samsung Display for at least a year. It has also been reported that the iPhone has evolved into a foldable prototype. The latest news is that the display and bearings are being tested.
Taiwan-based Shin Nikko is the main supplier of the supply chain, but Hon Hai is expected to handle the installation. The recent news that the iPad Mini will be discontinued is also related to the Foldable iPhone news. The reason is said to be similar to the iPad Mini when the Foldable iPhone was released.
