One of the witnesses to the death of the Frenchman told reporters that from the outside it looked as if the motorcyclist had really been poisoned by alcohol, or he had a stroke. Immediately after the incident, the police called in the coronavirus response team.
“The man breathed very often, he turned pale, his lips turned blue. He died before the doctors arrived, ”a local resident who witnessed the scene described the incident.
A few days later, the results of a forensic examination indicated that Folle was infected with a coronavirus infection.
According to The Jakarta Post, before that, only four cases of the disease were confirmed in the province, one of the patients died. The first victim of a coronavirus in Bali was a British citizen.
In total, 369 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Indonesia, 32 people died. The mortality rate in the country is considered one of the highest among other states of Southeast Asia.
