The blockade of the Chinese city of Wuhan, established in connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus, can be completely removed within two weeks. It is reported by the South China Morning Post, citing a statement by city authorities.
Restrictive measures in the rest of Hubei are currently being lifted, the statement said. In particular, the work of 80 railway stations was restored, and airports will be resumed in the near future. It is noted that a certificate of health is required to travel outside the province.
On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan. The causative agent of the disease is a new type of coronavirus, which is given the official name COVID-19.
